C-2 Corvette

The second generation of Corvettes was produced from 1963 to 1967. This generation of Corvettes is referred to as “Mid-years.” These Corvettes are distinctly different from the first generation. They were developed to be raced and featured independent suspensions, disk brakes and large displacement engines. The Grand Sport factory race car was developed during this era as was the firs of the popular Sting Ray body designs.

Corvette Care has restored dozens of C-2 Corvettes and is the service center for many more. We recently completed a C-2 that received 98 points in a national NCRS judging of “top flight” Corvettes. Many of the Corvettes we work on are updated to either NCRS standards or contemporary drivability standards but most are simply maintained so the owner can occasionally drive the Corvette to car shows or to enjoy it on day trips.

Pictured below are examples of a C-2 Corvette constructed to NCRS top flight standards and a highly modified car that features a 2005 LS2 400 horsepower factory crate motor, 5-speed manual transmission and suspension upgrades.
