C-4 Corvette
The fourth generation of Corvettes was produced from 1984-1996. The design and development phase for
the C-4 was extensive. Initially the C-4 Corvettes were scheduled to be produced
in 1983 but was still under development therefore 1983 is the only year a Corvette was never built. The frame and suspension
components were completely re-designed; fiberglass components had been replaced with high impact plastic. The front suspension
features strong, light weight components that were previously common to only race cars. The C-4 Corvette still holds the skid
pad record
